Attract the right customers to your restaurant

I’m a successful restauranter (because of legal reasons I cannot give you my name ).  I’ve launched a group of very profitable restaurants spanning the UK and often speak at seminars and shows, sharing my experience and useful tips with the new set of enthusiastic entrepreneurs.  Today I am going to speak about whats fundamental, basic, but unquestionably important; restaurant furniture.  Many people I talk to are always wrapped up thinking about every other aspects of their restaurant – food, staff, accounting … etc they entirely forget the basic stuff.

A stylish restaurant is an ambient restaurant and ambience is the main reason people decide to dine out.  Every one of your patrons can go over to Marks & Sparks and buy a gourmet dinner for 2 for less than a a couple of beers , and without the bother of booking nannies and taxies, can dine just as well at home.  So why choose to eat out?  The waiting staff as well as the atmosphere makes the night out worth it.

Choosing the brand of the restaurant is very important and you should think about the types of customers you want to get.  Are you going to be modern or old school or is it a homely Sunday roast sort of place?  Your restaurant should reflect the style of your establishment, the cuisine as well as the service your customers get.  Restaurant furniture is just one aspect of this however it is the simplest way to get fast and simple style.  Your restaurant table and chairs are where your clients will sit, relax, chat, enjoy the ambience and taste your fabulous food.  Choose carefully!  When looking at restaurant table and chairs budget is extremley important, because you are running a business.  Finding the right restaurant furniture suppliers can be difficult.  There is so many around how do you know which one to decide on, and are they be a good partner or just rip you off.

I’m always asked to recommend restaurant furniture suppliers but I’m hesitant in doing so.  I wouldn’t want to direct someone to the incorrect person and give them a poor experience.  Over my career I have worked with loads of awesome people and some really bad people and it’s up to you to find the positive partnerships and keep them.  They can make or break a business!
